How to get there
Here are the directions from the Montreal and Quebec airports to go to the Mont Sainte-Anne and the Plaines of Abraham. Other possible itineraries are available but these next ones are presented to you as examples.
Directions from airports to Mont Sainte-Anne
From Quebec’s Jean Lesage airport
From the Principale Street, go south to take the St-Jacques Street. Make a right turn onto Notre-Dame Street. Go straight on that street until you meet the Wilfrid-Hamel Boulevard. Make a left turn onto that boulevard. Turn left to take the ramp for AUT-40/AUT-73 towards Chicoutimi/Ste-Anne-De-Beaupré. Continue on highway 40. Take the exit Aut-40 on your left toward boulevard Ste-Anne. Take the ramp to RTE-360 towards Mont-Ste-Anne/St-Ferréol-Les-Neiges. Turn left at Boulevard du Beau-Pré level.
From Montreal’s Pierre-Elliott Trudeau airport
Follow Roméo-Vachon S. Boulevard. Turn left onto Roméo-Vachon S Boulevard then turn right at the Chemin Côte-De-Liesse level. Go straight on Michel Jasmin Avenue. Turn left to take the ramp to AUT-520 toward (AUT-40). Continue on Chemin de la Côte-De-Liesse. Take the ramp towards Aut. Décarie/Boul. M.-Laurin. On your left, take the ramp towards AUT-40. Take the exit 80-S AUT-25 toward (AUT-20)/Tunnel L.-H.-Lafontaine. Go straight on AUT-20 and finally, take the exit 312-N AUT-73 towards Pont P.-Laporte/Québec. Take the highway Henri IV nord and then take highway 40 east towards Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Higway 40 becomes route 138 and go straight to Beaupré. Then take route 360.
Directions from airports to the Plaines of Abraham
From Quebec’s Jean Lesage airport
From the Principale Street, make a right turn onto Route de L’aéroport. Go straight on Duplessis Highway (AUT-540). Take the exit 3-E AUT-40 toward Québec. Go straight on AUT-440 then straight on Charest Boulevard. Turn right on Avenue St-Sacrement and then turn left onto chemin Ste-Foy. Chemin Ste-Foy becomes Rue St-Jean. Turn right onto Avenue Turnbull and make a left onto Rue St-Amable. Turn left on Rue des Parlementaires. You will arrive in front of the parliament; the Plains’ entrance is just nearby.
From Montreal’s Pierre-Elliott Trudeau airport
Follow Roméo-Vachon S. Boulevard. Turn right at Chemin Côte-De-Liesse and go straight on Michel Jasmin Avenue. Turn left to take the ramp to AUT-520 towards (AUT-40). Continue on Chemin de la Côte-De-Liesse. Take the ramp towards Aut. Décarie/Boul. M.-Laurin. On your left, take the ramp towards AUT-15/AUT-40. Take the exit 80-S AUT-25 towards (AUT-20)/Tunnel L.-H.-Lafontaine. Go straight on AUT-20. Take the exit 312-N AUT-73 toward Pont P.-Laporte/Québec, then, take the exit 134-E RTE-175 toward Québec/Centre-Ville. Turn right onto Laurier Boulevard then go straight through the city. Laurier Boulevard becomes Grande-Allée. You will find the Plaines` entrance on your right, beside the fortifications.
From Mont Sainte-Anne to the Plaines of Abraham
Take Du Beau-Pré boulevard. Then follow the ramp to take RTE-138 towards (RTE-360 0)/Québec. Make a right turn on Ste-Anne Boulevard then, go straight on Higway 40. Take Highway-440 toward Québec. Take the exit 21 towards (RTE-175)/Grande-Allée/Boul.René-Lévesque. Turn right onto Grande-Allée E, you will find the Plaines` entrance on your right, beside the fortifications.
